An word or two on Carl

If you would be so kind as to direct your attention to the top right of this blog page and find the link "Carl Sandburg Visits Me in a Dream" under the heading "Look over here." Here's the story behind that; a good friend of mine from highschool who went to northwestern to be a music major at some point in the first semester invited me to this facebook group that he and his friend from northwestern, Benji, had started with the intention, or so i gathered, of promoting good music. The facebook group links to a blog of the same name and on the blogsite are sound files that you can download for free. the songs are almost always amazing and the guys that run it really know their shit. It's a chance for anyone who finds the popular music scene as sub-par and wants to taste some quality for a change. Mostly its underground-ish artists that Benji reviews and samples with every post. It's good stuff, i promise, check it out.

Good work. I caught up on all your recent posts today. You entry on dadaism is good, too, because although it seems unrelated to our course you end up with a reflection on blogging. That's good because you'll want your open journals to connect to the course in some way. In other words, they shouldn't just be ramblings; they should also tie to our course in some way.

This is Benji from CSVMAD. Thanks a lot for the link--I really appreciate it. We've got some great bands that are going to be covered in the coming weeks (what with some highly anticipated albums due to come out) and we're approaching a 5,000 visitors mix. So make sure to check it out.

Much love,
love the blog,
Benji

Aboudi,

The following paragraph will serve as an evaluation of the E-Poster presentation that you gave today on Gender Equality Among the Kung San. On the Mechanics section of the evaluation sheet you were judged based on two criteria: 1) This E-Poster was posted by 5 pm the night before the presentation day. 2) This E-Poster was between 5 and 7 slides. Number one is irrelevant based upon the fact that it is no longer a requirement. You have satisfied requirement two.

Content
€ Necessary background information. (satisfied)
€ The tentative argument of the paper. (satisfied)
€ Information about your outside sources (satisfied)
€ A brief outline of where your paper is going (satisfied)

You have a clear and concise thesis statement on a very defined topic. I feel as if I know where you are going with your paper and I can't wait to read it!
